Well, I had half considered waiting through both conventions before officially backing Obama or McCain. But when McCain announced his running mate, the deal was sealed w/o any hesitation. Regardless of who you support, though, I think we'll all get a chuckle out of this:

Given the holiday weekend, it was amazingly quiet at Lover's Leap. Joy and I did East Wall while Wes and Natalie did East Crack. After some free camping south of Meyers, we headed back to Lover's Leap and climbed Knapsack. I was excited for the trip for many reasons. First off, my flight to DEN was on a 777! And my flight back to SFO was a 767. Those were my first flights on those large airplanes.

I managed to convince Shali to accompany me to the Nebraska high point. Number 31 is in the bag!

She gave me a tour around Boulder, which is watched from above by the Flatirons. I dragged her with me to Neptune Mountaineering where we came across this "interesting" recipe.
